Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Drafter Cum Designer role based in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves preparing detailed engineering drawings and layouts for electrical, instrumentation, and measurement systems using CAD and relevant design tools. The Senior Drafter Cum Designer will interpret engineering specifications, perform design revisions, and coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings meet technical and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include creating and updating as-built drawings, maintaining drawing documentation, and supporting design reviews and technical clarifications. The role also includes collaborating with site teams, assisting in design optimization for energy-efficient and explosion-proof solutions, and ensuring timely delivery of design packages for project execution.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in CAD drafting and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent), with experience producing detailed electrical and instrumentation drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, flow measurement, and control systems, including relevant industry standards and codes.
• Experience supporting engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning activities through accurate and coordinated design documentation.
• Ability to review technical specifications, interpret engineering requirements, and incorporate them into practical, constructible designs.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages and revisions under project timelines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, project managers, and site teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field, with prior experience in industrial or energy-sector projects preferred.
• Familiarity with energy-efficient solutions, LED lighting systems, and explosion-proof design considerations is an advantage.
