Job description

Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Main tasks

• Excellent knowledge of electrical design engineering for automated laboratory devices (embedded systems, control systems and sensors)
• Experienced in using computer-assisted engineering (CAE) and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
• Good programming experience
• Good knowledge of EMC phenomena and design
• Good knowledge of system design incl. concept, usability, integration, design to cost, design to manufacturing
• Create, evaluate and recommend design concepts
• Write clear and detailed technical specifications, reports and other documents
• Holistic understanding of the HW architecture with attention to details and interfaces
• Leading and execution of Design Reviews
• Enhance and simplify the functional and technical aspects of products
• Good ability to think independently when reviewing design approaches within a team
• Uncover design flaws and substantiate reasonable doubt within projects
• Consistently seeking and learning new technology
• Keeping up to date with developments in regulations and standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the HW engineering best practices
• Ability to analyze, explain and present technical information

Basic Education

• Technical university degree in electrical engineering

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in instrument or module development, preferably in the laboratory automation industry

• English (fluent)
