Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Main tasks
- Excellent knowledge of electrical design engineering for automated laboratory devices (embedded systems, control systems and sensors)
- Experienced in using computer-assisted engineering (CAE) and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Good programming experience
- Good knowledge of EMC phenomena and design
- Good knowledge of system design incl. concept, usability, integration, design to cost, design to manufacturing
- Create, evaluate and recommend design concepts
- Write clear and detailed technical specifications, reports and other documents
- Holistic understanding of the HW architecture with attention to details and interfaces
- Leading and execution of Design Reviews
- Enhance and simplify the functional and technical aspects of products
- Good ability to think independently when reviewing design approaches within a team
- Uncover design flaws and substantiate reasonable doubt within projects
- Consistently seeking and learning new technology
- Keeping up to date with developments in regulations and standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the HW engineering best practices
- Ability to analyze, explain and present technical information

Basic Education
- Technical university degree in electrical engineering

Experience
- 8+ years of experience in instrument or module development, preferably in the laboratory automation industry
