Job Summary
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) is looking for a Senior Engineer (Infrastructure & Yard) to play a key role in planning, supervising, and monitoring civil infrastructure maintenance and upgrading works across our 2,000-acre terminal and free-zone area.
This role covers facilities, civil structures, and infrastructure including roads, drainage, container yards, fencing, and more. The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands-on, and able to deliver safe, cost-effective, and timely maintenance and development works that support PTP's world-class operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee maintenance, upgrading projects, and refurbishment of infrastructure.
- Ensure facilities and civil assets remain safe, functional, and aligned with operational needs.
- Manage OPEX contracts, review claims/payment certificates, and monitor costs against forecasts.
- Plan and monitor maintenance schedules to meet QA/QC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and evaluate contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure KPI and contract compliance.
- Provide technical input on project planning, scheduling, and resource adequacy.
- Respond to infrastructure issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost management and infrastructure resilience.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including internal teams and government agencies, on civil works.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, or maintenance (port/industrial/large-scale facilities preferred).
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Strong knowledge in civil works and facilities management; yard infrastructure experience is an advantage.
- Experience in OPEX contract management and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and engineering tools.
- Familiarity with construction cost analysis, market pricing, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and willing to work on-site across large-scale facilities.
