Senior Engineer Marine (Short Term - 6 months)

Job Duties:

1. To support and provide marine engineering knowledge, ensuring project performance targets are achieved in a safe and environmentally sound with compliance to Regulatory requirements.
2. To manage and be accountable for tasks given, as delegated by the Lead Marine Engineer.
3. To participate and contribute in providing Marine engineering input to the technical issues raised by Client.
4. To prepare documents (marine equipment list, technical specification, datasheet, report, drawing/ layout, philosophy etc.) related to Marine deliverables.
5. To review vendor technical proposals (P&ID, GA drawing, datasheet, vendor proposals etc), conduct technical bid evaluation and resolve technical queries.
6. To collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g. process, mechanical, piping, instrument, electrical) to ensure package integration.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 7 years of working experience in engineering design of marine system for floating offshore facilities (i.e. FPSO, FSO, FLNG, etc).
2. BEng or BSc in Mechanical / Marine Engineering.
3. Registered with recognized engineering bodies (BEM / IEM / MBOT etc).
4. Experience in designing marine systems at least 1-2 offshore / onshore project.
5. Possess knowledge of Classification & IMO requirements, and Engineering Codes & Standards for Oil & Gas Industry, e.g. ASME, API, ASTM, etc.
6. Good verbal and written skills in English.
7. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
8. Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability.
9. Able to work independently.
10. Knowledge of Yard practices and FPSO / FSO Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning arrangements will be an added advantage.
