Senior Engineer, Production Operations

Production Optimization

• Monitor and improve daily oil & gas production rates.
• Troubleshoot issues like declining well performance, equipment failures, or process inefficiencies.
• Suggest and implement strategies to maximize output while reducing downtime (UPD).

Operational Support

• Work closely with offshore and onshore teams (production supervisors, superintendents, maintenance, well ops, facilities, etc.).
• Provide engineering support during shutdowns, startups, and maintenance.
• Assist in planning and executing production operations safely and cost-effectively.

Asset Integrity & Safety

• Ensure wells, pipelines, and facilities comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Participate in safety case compliance, SIMOPS (simultaneous operations), and risk assessments.
• Lead investigations into incidents, failures, or downtime, then recommend corrective actions.

Project & Cost Control

• Contribute to budgeting for OPEX (operational expenditure).
• Prioritize maintenance and improvement works for critical equipment.
• Support planning activities (like 90-day production plans).

Leadership & Development

• Mentor junior engineers and operations staff.
• Be prepared to deputize for senior roles such as Operations Manager or Superintendent when needed.
