Job Responsibilities
- To have extensive knowledge and experience in power system studies, protection coordination studies, electromagnetic transient studies via engineering simulation software such as PSSE, ETAP, DigSilent, PSCAD, etc
- Assist the department manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring engineering operations.
- Supervise and manage a team of engineers and technical staff, including allocation of tasks.
- Responsible to train entry level engineers to have sufficient competency to complete tasks according to company standard and expectation
- Manage multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Lead and execute engineering projects ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Review, develop, and optimize engineering designs
- Review and develop procedures, workflow, checklist and systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and troubleshooting for complex issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
- Oversee authority liaison and submission (TNB, SESB, ST, SEDA, etc.), ensuring timely approvals.
- Lead and oversee simulation input data tabulation, compilation, and validation for complex projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in M&E consultancy, power system studies, or a combination of both.
- Strong hands‑on experience with power system analysis and modelling software.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Compensation & Performance Incentives
In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, this role offers a
highly attractive performance‑based incentive. The Senior Engineering Lead is entitled to a
1.5% departmental commission, calculated based on
collected net profit after deducting all related expenses.
This commission structure directly rewards leadership contribution, commercial responsibility, and the successful delivery of profitable projects, aligning individual performance with departmental and business success.
