Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Product Planning

About the Role:

You will be responsible for developing and executing product planning and marketing strategies for current and future vehicle model line-ups, ensuring product competitiveness, market relevance, and sustainable sales performance throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Formulate product marketing strategies for current and future model line-ups, including product features, price positioning, and volume forecasts, to ensure sustainable competitiveness throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead project management for Edar to ensure successful model launches, encompassing product readiness (NPDS process), government approvals, sales and marketing activities, aftersales spare parts, and training preparation.
• Develop and review all product-related marketing communications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare pricing proposals and business policies for management review and approval.
• Sustain sales momentum through the introduction of Special Editions, accessory packages, and other product enhancement initiatives.
• Monitor market outlook, sales performance, competitor movements, pricing, and promotional strategies to develop effective counterattack strategies and maintain market competitiveness.
• Gather and analyse market intelligence, including customer trends, regulatory requirements, and market-specific needs, to support product and marketing strategies.

Job Requirement & Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in automotive product planning.
• Excellent presentation, analytical, business acumen, and lateral thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Demonstrated team leadership skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Highly committed, proactive, and possesses a strong sense of urgency.
