Responsible for supporting the Regional Manager Operations (RMO) in addressing operational non-compliance, strengthening internal controls, and mitigating risk across the region. This includes ensuring strict adherence to operational guidelines and driving Branch Head Control Checklist (BHCL) self-assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RMO in evaluating operational risk management and branch control compliance (BHCL), ensuring alignment with internal policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and statutory requirements (including BNM guidelines, ABM rules, AMLA, and FSA/Islamic Financial Services Act).
• Identify and highlight operational non-compliance, control gaps, and procedural defects to the RMO with actionable recommendations.
• Provide relief support for key operational roles within the region as required.
• Partner with Branch Managers (BMs), Customer Service Operations Managers (CSOMs), and Head Office stakeholders to support deposit growth and cross-selling initiatives.
• Manage regional administrative tasks, including report compilation, data analysis, training coordination, and regional event logistics.
• Support the RMO in formulating strategies and corrective action plans to resolve identified compliance gaps and mitigate recurring operational risks.
• Work closely with CSOMs across the region to elevate branch control, compliance standards, and overall service quality.

Education/Qualification

• Professional or tertiary qualification or related working experience.

Requirements

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in financial institutions or branch banking operations.
• Strong foundation in Branch Banking Operations, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) rulings, Banking Secrecy, and AML/CFT compliance standards.
