Job Description

We are hiring under Recruit Express headcount and you will be deployed to:

Location: Central
Contract Duration: 8 months
Salary: $4,000 - $5,000/month

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation, review and updating of research ethics guidelines, policies and SOPs.
Support the administration and secretariat functions for Research Ethics Committee (REC) meetings when required.
Coordinate and facilitate research ethics review board meetings, including preparing agendas, checking meeting requirements and documenting minutes.
Screen and review research ethics applications and related correspondence to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Coordinate follow-ups with investigators, sponsors and relevant stakeholders on review outcomes and required actions.
Ensure research protocols are reviewed in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines and policies.
Provide guidance to investigators and researchers on policies, procedures and submission requirements.
Maintain clear and accurate communication records with investigators, sponsors, review board members and regulatory authorities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases of research ethics applications.
Prepare reports relating to research ethics reviews and other relevant activities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the ethics review process.
Provide cross-coverage for other domains when required.
Support conferences, programmes and other administrative activities related to research ethics.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Science, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in healthcare, research, research administration or related areas will be an advantage.
Basic understanding of research ethics policies, guidelines and local regulations is preferred.
Knowledge of quality and process improvement approaches is an advantage.
Good organisational, project management and writing skills.
Data analysis skills would be beneficial.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with different stakeholders.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
Team player with a proactive and professional attitude.
