Job Description

Strategic Planning

Develop and implement strategic supply and demand planning initiatives that align with overall business objectives. Contribute to long-term supply chain strategies, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and company goals. Participate in the development of forecasting models, inventory policies and planning capacity to support business growth and sustainability.

Supply Chain Operations Support

Provide operational support for supply chain activities, ensuring seamless integration between supply and demand planning processes. Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective supply chain operations.

Collaborative Forecasting

Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop accurate demand forecasts. Facilitate collaborative forecasting meetings, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are aligned on demand projections. Adjust forecasts based on real-time data, market intelligence, and changes in customer demand.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Conduct in-depth data analysis to support decision-making in both supply and demand planning. Prepare and present regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and supplier performance. Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the supply chain.

Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements within the supply and demand planning functions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness. Lead initiatives to streamline planning processes, reduce lead times, and improve forecast accuracy. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the planning team, encouraging innovation and best practices.

Scenario Planning & Risk Management

Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of potential disruptions or changes in demand and supply conditions. Develop risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain vulnerabilities, including supplier risks, market fluctuations, and operational disruptions. Ensure that contingency plans are in place to maintain supply chain continuity in the face of unforeseen challenges.

Supplier Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and effective collaboration. Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, manage lead times, and resolve any issues that may arise. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.

Ad hoc Assignment

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain or related disciplines.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and can interact well with all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of integrated planning software would be an advantage.
  • Computer Literacy - Proficient in Microsoft Application and ERP system.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Experience working in FMCG industry is an added advantage.
