Facilities Manager

The key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to;

1. Facilities Management

  • Manage all maintenance, repair, and installation activities for machinery and facilities.
  • Oversee the maintenance & facilities, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Lead and supervise the contractor maintenance team, ensuring safety standards are followed.
  • Plan schedules, monitor progress, and control maintenance budgets.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Ensure machinery equipment and parts stock is managed and replenished as needed.
  • Manage all facility-related issues and situations. This includes overseeing and coordinating with vendors or internal teams to address breakdowns in electrical, air conditioning, and other facility systems.
  • Develop and implement a robust preventive maintenance program for all machines and equipment to minimize unexpected downtime.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all facility equipment, including service history, maintenance schedules, and warranties.
  • Supervise and manage the installation, servicing, and inspection of all building systems, such as plumbing, fire safety, and electrical power systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the entire premises, both internal and external, are well-maintained, clean, and in good working order.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a facilities role, with a strong focus on overseeing rather than hands-on repair.
  • Registered Chargeman with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) is an additional advantage.
  • Possess a strong ability to proactively manage situations and liaise with government authorities.
  • Familiarity and practical experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Management Systems.
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
  • Experience in a dynamic logistics or warehouse environment is a plus.
