JOB SUMMARYResponsible for managing and ensuring accurate costing processes for the Malaysian site. This includes preparing and validating monthly costing reports to maintain precision and reliability in financial data, supporting informed decision-making and compliance with company standards.
Role Description
1. Preparation and review of costing reports of Senai entity, ensure the accuracy of the balance sheet GL.
2. Involve in inventory control and meet the target inventory days.
3. Preparation / review of reports such as Dashboard, PBT by customer etc. including allocation of common costs etc.
4. Involve in the function and reports related to Product Costing, and analysis of production expenses
5. Review and business partner with Operations on formulation of action plan, including PPV claim from customer, material cost saving, repricing validation etc.
6. Serve as a business partner by assisting operations teams to drive performance and meet the OPBT% targets set by top management.
7. Ad-hoc projects as assigned by Site & Regional Financial Controller and GM
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficiency in accounts payable/receivable management and variance analysis
- Ability to ensure compliance with financial standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Exceptional skills in account reconciliation, financial analysis, and credit control
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in manufacturing or technology services industries is an asset
