Senior Executive, Finance

Key responsibilities

1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
2. Processing invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions in a timely and accurate manner
3. Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
4. Preparing financial statements and reports for management review and analysis
5. Supporting the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
6. Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
7. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies
8. Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
9. Maintaining documentation and financial records in accordance with regulatory requirements
10. Supporting the audit process and providing relevant financial information as requested

What we're looking for

1. A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with relevant professional certifications being advantageous
2. Proven experience in bookkeeping or small practice accounting, ideally gained within a similar industrial or manufacturing environment
3. Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
4. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy when handling financial data
5. A thorough understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
8. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
9. A commitment to professional development and staying current with industry best practices
