ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Senior Executive, Group Corporate Advisory (Analyst I) role supports the Company's corporate finance and portfolio management activities. The role involves assisting in corporate finance exercises, financial analysis, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. This hands-on role supports informed decision-making, value creation initiatives, and effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Professional Accounting qualification or a Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics and other relevant fields.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related post-qualification experience in the related field.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILSS & ABILITIES

  • Has excellent research and financial analysis skills which is translated into ability to evaluate, including background research, analysing financial information i.e. profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements, a portfolio company.

  • To write and/or communicate precisely and clearly research done on an investment and/or current portfolio companies.

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Computer literacy including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

  • Ability to handle database and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools, preferably Microsoft Power BI.

  • Able to suggest, based on analysis done, value creation, activities to enhance portfolio companies value.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist in Corporate Finance function in managing corporate finance exercises, mergers & acquisition exercises, financial structuring advisory, fund raising, IPO and any other business advisory initiatives.

  • Manage and monitor performance of portfolio companies, including investment performance, business strategies, business operations, financial performance and compliance.

  • Gather business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information or purchased sources.

  • Assist in conducting research and analysis, including industry and market development, financial forecast, financial performance, variance analysis, trends and any other related analysis, using business intelligence data and tools to support Corporate Finance and Portfolio Monitoring functions.

  • Assist in planning, develop, recommend and implement value creation activities for improvements of portfolio investments and VentureTECH.

  • Assist in preparation of recommendation papers for Management's / Board Committee(s) / Board's approval.

  • Preparation of reports for regular leadership reviews.

  • Liaise and manage relationships with investee companies and key stakeholders (internal and external), including engagements meetings, preparation of information/ documents/ reports as required.

  • Assist in preparation of presentation materials and assist with meeting arrangements for engagements with stakeholders.

  • Any other ad hoc work assigned by reporting supervisors or Management from time to time.
