Responsibilities
We view ourselves as a scrappy start-up and as a vital member of the team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You'll work directly with the Group Chief Financial Officer to ensure that we meet compliance and regulatory standards, monitor and manage accounts, and assist with financial reporting for the property. Broadly, responsibilities as part of this role include:
- Play a crucial role in making sure our hotels run efficiently without compromising our overall goal of providing a fantastic guest experience.
Assist in preparation of group-level financial reports, including monthly management accounts and variance analysis
Support consolidation of multiple entities (entities under the ECM Libra ownership including Ormond Group properties, Epsom International College), ensuring intercompany balances are reconciled
Review submissions from business units to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Assist in preparing reports for senior management and stakeholders
Oversee and support full sets of accounts across entities
Oversee timely closing, journal entries (accruals, prepayments), and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
Supervise payables, receivables, and cash flow across entities to ensure timely payments, collections, and healthy cash position.
Ensure all bank, vendor, and intercompany balances are accurately reconciled and discrepancies resolved
Support audits and ensure compliance with SST, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
Strengthen internal controls and drive improvements or digitalisation in finance processes
Liaise with internal teams, auditors, and external parties to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting
To successfully fill this role, you will have the right attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years experience in AP, with exposure to AR or cash management preferred including audit matters
Worked in a Public Listed Company (PLC) or Berhad (Bhd.)
Familiar with hotel systems and accounting software (e.g., Opera, Protel, Xero, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reconciliation
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in hospitality or multi-property environments is an advantage
