Job Purpose:
The Senior Executive will work closely with HR and Payroll team members to deliver excellent and professional services to clients daily. This position reports to the Assistant Manager/Team Lead. Responsible for managing payroll, overseeing, and coaching Junior Payroll professionals, including performing second-level payroll checks (4-eyes principle). The Senior Executive provides daily HR and Payroll support and advice to clients, ensuring compliance with the Malaysia Employment Act, Labour Laws, and Malaysia Statutory Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the full spectrum of payroll processing, attend to client inquiries, and provide professional HR and payroll advice according to company standards and processes.
- Adhere to TMF Global Compliance standards.
- Perform second-level payroll checks, coach team members, and handle escalations.
- Be aware of client contracts and identify work in progress (W.I.P) or out-of-scope tasks.
- Act as a buddy and conduct training for new joiners.
- Liaise with Malaysia Statutory bodies for registration, inquiries, and payments.
- Review monthly payroll advice received from clients and input payroll data into the payroll system.
- Send payroll reports and fund summaries to clients for approval
- Prepare salary instructions for the appointed bank.
- Send pay slips to employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of timesheets in D365.
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of payroll data to the highest levels of accuracy and performed timely
- Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Key Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Certificate in any field of study, preferably in HRM;
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in HR/Payroll, with relevant working experience in payroll outsourcing being an added advantage.
- Well-versed in local country employment ordinances, tax practices and pension and related ordinances.
- Experience in handling client escalations, complaints, and problem-solving.
- Previous experience in sizeable professional firms will be an advantage.
- Able to speak well and able to communicate with clients.
