About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Executive, IT Change Management to oversee and govern IT system changes across a large-scale enterprise environment. The role acts as a key gatekeeper for production changes, ensuring changes are properly assessed, authorized, implemented within SLA, and aligned with IT Change Management policies and SDLC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess daily system change requests based on priority, impact, risk, timing and business relevance.
- Identify potential risks, issues and dependencies associated with system changes and escalate where required.
- Monitor outstanding, completed and backed-out changes to ensure proper follow-up and closure.
- Ensure compliance with IT Change Management procedures, ITIL practices and SDLC processes.
- Participate in and support Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities, including go/no-go decisions for system implementations.
- Authorize or reject changes based on established change criteria, risk and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and administer ITSM / Change Management tools and ensure accurate change records.
- Track change management KPIs and performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support continuous improvement of change management policies, processes and standards.
- Coordinate with IT Project Managers, Business Owners, Infrastructure, Security, Risk, Audit and other technology teams to ensure smooth end-to-end change implementation.
- Prepare management updates and reports on critical, upcoming and ongoing system changes.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business IT or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in IT Change Management, IT Service Management or a related function, preferably within a banking, financial institution or MNC environment.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL / Change Management principles.
- Familiarity with Change Management / ITSM tools.
- Good understanding of banking systems, IT processes and enterprise technology environments.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, IT infrastructure and Service Management.
- Strong technical understanding across areas such as applications, networking, Wintel, Unix and storage is advantageous.
- ITIL, COBIT, CISA, Six Sigma or other relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
