Overview

Job Description

  • The candidate reports to and shall assist the company's Head of Legal in overseeing all legal matters pertaining to the organisation's business strategy and operations.

Intellectual Property Portfolio: (40%)

  • Liaison with external agent and solicitors on all intellectual property matters such as trademarks, industrial design and patents
  • To assist the Head of Legal in developing and maintaining an efficient tracking system for the company's intellectual property portfolio
  • Custodian and safe keeping of all intellectual property related documents

General Contract Management : (30%)

  • Vetting, drafting, and reviewing broad range of contracts
  • Support internal stakeholders in meetings, discussions, and negotiations with external parties with sound legal advice
  • Keep track and maintain contract status and update report ensure timely conclusion on all types of contracts
  • Custody and filing of all contractual documents

General Legal Advisory: (30%)

  • Provide strategic and tactical advisory on a broad range of legal areas and managing queries from various internal stakeholders
  • Review and establish sound legal guidelines, policies and processes in line with business direction.
  • Keep abreast on all laws and regulatory developments relevant to the organisation and provide timely advice on any impending impact.
  • Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior as and when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law.
  • Minimum 4 years of working experience in legal practice or in-house counsel
  • Experience in Intellectual Property is essential
  • Experience in relevant legal areas such as corporate, commercial, contract management
