ROLE OVERVIEW
This role leads MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) sourcing activities, managing end-to-end tendering, vendor sourcing, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will support engineering and operations teams by delivering cost-effective, compliant, and timely procurement solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MRO Sourcing & Tender Management
- Manage sourcing activities for MRO items and services in accordance with company SOPs.
- Prepare and manage end-to-end RFQ/tender processes, including negotiation and award recommendations.
- Develop BQ, job scope, work descriptions, and tender documents with stakeholders.
- Prepare technical and commercial evaluations and obtain management and system approvals.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Source, pre-qualify, and onboard competent vendors and contractors.
- Organise vendor briefings and meetings prior to project or work commencement.
- Coordinate and resolve supplier or contractor issues, acting as a bridge between stakeholders and vendors.
Operational & Process Support
- Manage project and operational purchases across assigned commodities.
- Handle purchase requisitions based on assigned categories and purchasing families.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, HSE requirements, and Code of Business Conduct.
- Support updates to SOPs and work instructions and contribute to process improvements.
People & Performance Management
- Supervise, train, and monitor purchasing officers.
- Set, track, and update KPIs to ensure team performance and service quality.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing for all purchasing activities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline; Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Materials) is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or engineering-related roles.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with engineering terminology, standards, and HSE requirements for site work.
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
