Job Description

Job summary:

We are seeking a proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented individual to join our Corporate Secretarial team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of secretarial functions in a public listed company and its subsidiaries, support key governance processes, and contribute to the company's regulatory compliance and corporate initiatives.

Job Description:

  • Prepare resolutions, notice of meetings, statutory forms, and ensure timely execution and to follow-through on required actions within specified timelines
  • Familiar and hands-on with MyCOID, SSM4U, XBRL, and/or Bursa Link announcement templates.
  • Involve and understand the process of Annual Report and General Meetings, i.e. Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting.
  • Draft relevant statements for Integrated Annual Report and Circular to Shareholders.
  • Carry out task(s) assigned expeditiously with minimum supervision and timely completion.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced working environment with a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines and ensure group's compliance with the relevant laws or regulations.
  • Facilitate and attend meetings as required for relevant Board and Board Committee Meetings.
  • Provide support for special projects, corporate exercises, coordinate meeting materials and ensure safe custody of all documents.
  • Liaise with both internal and external parties, including Board of Directors, business units, and various authorities in relation to compliance with regulatory requirements and governance issues.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Possess CGI (ICSA) qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 4-5 years company secretarial experience and conversant with the full spectrum of secretarial duties, exposure in public listed companies would be an added advantage, as this role allows you to take ownership of your work, learn, and progress.
  • Understand and familiar in the provisions of the Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Main Market Listing Requirements, Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance, and other regulatory requirements
  • Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, good interpersonal skills, good working ethics, and pro-active.
  • A good team player, pleasant personality with a good yet can-do attitude, work smart, and good time management.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel applications, Outlook, Power Point / Canva).
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Malay, and Mandarin (added advantage) and ability to interact with all levels.
