Job Summary
Provide strategic and operational support to the Head of Department in managing and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, coordinating and consolidating internal and external engagements, and contributing to the development and execution of engagement strategies to ensure alignment with MCMC's mandate, strategic objectives, and policies for the communications and multimedia sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze stakeholder interests and needs to strengthen coordination, collaboration, and alignment with national policies.
- Align internal stakeholder inputs with MCMC strategies to ensure consistency with organisational objectives and mandates.
- Review and validate advisory inputs and responses to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with MCMC's regulatory position.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and anomalies in datasets.
- Identify recurring data and develop data-driven insights to support strategic decisions, policy development, and operational improvements.
- Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for management and relevant teams.
- Consolidate cross-division inputs into unified responses to deliver coherent and consistent external communications.
- Identify stakeholder engagement gaps and improvement areas to enhance stakeholder satisfaction and working relationships.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment on issues and priorities to improve coordination and problem resolution effectiveness.
- Research policy, regulatory, and technology developments to enhance strategic foresight and readiness for emerging risks and opportunities.
- Assess impact of external trends on strategic initiatives to support informed decision making and policy positioning.
- Represent MCMC in internal and external working groups to communicate official positions and strengthen organisational visibility and reputation.
- Monitor and control budget utilisation to ensure efficient financial management and optimal use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards to maintain governance integrity and stakeholder confidence.
- Develop and implement engagement SOPs and tools to standardise compliant and effective stakeholder engagement practices.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Professional Qualifications in any relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution with a minimum of CGPA 3.00
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of work experience.
- Experience in data and input analysis.
- Experience in communications and multimedia industry, especially in formulating public policies, regulatory insight and business process.
- Experience in strategic planning, business plan, and other strategic initiatives.
- Experience in having taken or played a leadership role.
Technical Competencies/ Skills:
- Good understanding of C&M regulatory frameworks, roles, functions, processes.
- Good grasp and analytical capability of industry, market, consumer and data.
- Good understanding on state and federal issues, infrastructure deployment (including the processes), access framework.
