Job Purpose
This role is to support Group Shariah & Sustainability to drive and implement sustainability initiatives. The Group's sustainability vision is to provide sustainable and innovative solutions benefitting our communities. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the progression of the Group's sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with Sustainability Framework and strategic objectives.
- Implement strategies to measure and enhance the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage the computation and analysis of Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions, ensuring accurate and comprehensive reporting.
- Manage ESG data governance related to the Group's emissions, ensuring data integrity, compliance with regulatory standards, and integration into overall sustainability strategy.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
- Engage with initiative owners and senior stakeholders to prepare for and drive the expansion of sustainability-related targets and programs.
- Facilitate strategic discussions to identify, address, and resolve any delays or issues impacting sustainability goals, providing actionable recommendations and corrective action plans.
- Execute extensive sustainability capacity-building programs to enhance organizational knowledge and engagement.
- Coordinate the completion of MBSB Group's Sustainability Report, ensuring adherence to reporting standards and high-quality documentation.
- Facilitate data sharing and collaboration across departments to support comprehensive and accurate reporting.
- Provide high-level administrative support, including overseeing document filing, drafting key memos, and managing memo approvals.
- Ensure efficient and organized management of sustainability-related documentation and communications.
Threshold Qualifications
Bachelor's degree/master's in environmental science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or any related field.
Years & Nature of Experience
- At least 0-3 years of work experience in banking.
- Strong communication (verbal, written, graphic) skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Intermediate-high proficiency with the MS Office especially MS Excel.
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with strong teamwork attributes.
- Be able to work productively in a potentially limited resource environment.
- Must be detail-oriented with ability to multi-task with tight deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
- Proactive, independent with good interpersonal skills.
