You Will Need To
- Lead the design and development of seasonal collections that align with the brand's vision and market demands.
- Conduct research on global fashion trends, particularly in the modest wear sector, and incorporate insights into innovative design concepts.
- Sketch designs and create technical drawings
- Select fabrics, colors, and trims that suit modest wear requirements and ensure quality standards.
- Manage the sample development process, ensuring prototypes meet design specifications and brand standards.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure designs are executed properly and on time.
- Oversee the fitting process, making necessary adjustments to ensure the perfect balance of comfort, style, and modesty.
- Ensure that designs are in compliance with cultural sensitivities and modest wear guidelines.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
- Attend to fashion shows, trade shows, and exhibitions to stay abreast of new trends and innovations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on modest wear.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
- In-depth knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and the fashion production cycle.
- Excellent understanding of modest wear markets and trends.
