Senior Finance Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee project accounting, including reconciliation, and month-end close activities.
• Review and monitor job costing for projects, ensuring costs are accurately captured, allocated, and aligned with budgets.
• Perform detailed cost analysis and variance analysis for projects, highlighting key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations and project teams to validate job costs, track project progress, and ensure financial accuracy.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and journal entries related to repair works.
• Manage new contract booking, variation order by compliance with estimating instruction and approval matrix.
• Assist Job Cost team to review and cover quarterly and yearly Cost Review meeting and perform necessary cost re-estimation on time.
• Work closely with project team to identify the project risk and opportunity.
• Ensure timely review and perform project close out.
• Support management reporting and ad-hoc finance analysis as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance and / or a chartered qualification in either (ACCA, CPA, MIA etc).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in project accounting or job costing environment.

Required Skills:

• Solid understanding of job order costing, WIP accounting, cost allocation methodologies.
• Ability to review large volumes of data and identify cost discrepancies and inefficiencies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
