About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on role with accountability across full-spectrum accounting, group reporting, cashflow management, statutory compliance, and finance transformation initiatives.
You will play a key role in supporting shared services operations, group report consolidation, finance automation, and process improvements across multiple entities, while ensuring strong controls, accuracy, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Transformation & Shared Services
- Support finance automation initiatives, including system enhancements, report automation, and workflow improvements.
- Drive process improvements and standardisation within shared services to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
- Act as a key finance partner to internal stakeholders across business units.
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow) with variance analysis.
- Support group-level consolidation and ensure consistent accounting treatment across entities.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing in accordance with internal timelines.
Cashflow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor daily cashflow and support cashflow forecasting and payment planning.
- Manage AP/AR processes, monitor ageing, and follow up on collections.
- Support utilisation and monitoring of banking facilities and financing arrangements.
Compliance, Audit & Tax
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and banks on statutory and compliance matters.
- Handle SST, income tax, withholding tax, e-invoicing, and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain proper documentation and internal controls to support audits and compliance reviews.
Payroll, Claims & Administration
- Oversee payroll processing, including sales commission computation and statutory deductions.
- Review employee claims, petty cash, and ensure adherence to finance policies.
Grants & Special Projects
- Support applications for government grants and incentives when required.
- Participate in ad-hoc finance projects and transformation initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a group or shared services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Malaysian tax, SST, and statutory requirements.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (e.g. SQL, Autocount, or equivalent).
- Experience with Microsoft NAV, Business Central, or Zoho is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage tight timelines.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in process improvement or system implementation is highly desirable.
