Job Title: Senior Finance Executive
Job Scope
1. Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and frameworks, supported by proper documentation.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and statutory reports.
- Establish, maintain, and monitor the Fixed Assets Register, including asset tagging, depreciation, disposals, and periodic audits.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Provide financial analysis, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives to optimize financial performance.
3. Compliance, Tax & Audit
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and tax requirements including SST, e-Invoicing, corporate tax, and audit coordination.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory contributions and payroll-related tax filings in line with regulatory requirements.
4. Payroll & Claims Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing including salaries, allowances, deductions, and preparation of monthly payroll reports.
- Review, approve, and control petty cash reimbursements and staff claims in accordance with company policies.
5. Inventory & Asset Control
- Lead and oversee month-end stock takes and inventory reconciliations, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies to ensure proper financial reporting.
6. Process Improvement & Operations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of accounting and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to provide financial information, insights, and operational support.
7. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Supervise, guide, and support junior accounting staff to ensure effective performance and continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, MIA).
- Minimum 45 years of relevant working experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, SST, and e-Invoicing requirements.
- Hands-on experience with full set of accounts, payroll processing, inventory control, and audit coordination.
- Proficient in Auto Count (accounting software), Employment Hero (payroll system), and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
