Senior Finance Manager

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance Manager to strengthen our Finance & Accounts function and support the financial management of the Lynch Pin Holdings and Kian Group ecosystem.

This role will oversee key aspects of group financial reporting, consolidation, cash flow management, banking and treasury, tax compliance, and financial planning, while working closely with the Chairman, Managing Director and Finance & Accounts teams across multiple entities.

The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening our finance processes, improving visibility of group financial performance, and providing meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Group Financial Reporting and Consolidation

• Lead and oversee the preparation of consolidated financial reports and management reporting for the Group.
• Coordinate monthly financial closing and reporting across multiple entities.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, timely and provides meaningful insights into group performance.
• Review financial results, identify key trends and variances, and highlight areas requiring management attention.
• Ensure outstanding reconciliations and financial issues are followed through to resolution.

2.Cash Flow and Treasury Management

• Oversee group-level cash flow planning and forecasting.
• Maintain a rolling cash flow forecast and identify potential funding requirements or cash flow risks in advance.
• Monitor cash utilisation across entities and support effective allocation of group resources.
• Work closely with management on funding requirements and financial planning.

3.Banking and Financing

• Manage and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
• Support the management of existing loan and financing facilities, including renewals and compliance requirements.
• Assist with new financing applications, loan restructuring and other banking-related matters.
• Monitor repayment schedules, financing terms and key covenant requirements.

4.Tax and Compliance

• Oversee group tax compliance and ensure timely statutory submissions across relevant entities.
• Work with external tax advisors and relevant stakeholders on corporate tax, withholding tax and other cross-border tax matters.
• Review intercompany transactions and support appropriate tax treatment and structuring.
• Identify potential tax risks and provide recommendations to management where required.

5.Financial Planning and Business Support

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
• Assist the Chairman, Managing Director and business leaders with financial evaluation of business initiatives and investments.
• Prepare financial analysis, forecasts and recommendations for key business decisions.
• Support financial due diligence, M&A activities, investment appraisal or company sale-preparation where required.

6.Finance Systems and Process Improvement

• Support the Finance & Accounts function in strengthening financial processes, controls and reporting standards.
• Lead or support Finance-related initiatives arising from the Group's ERP migration to Odoo.
• Ensure financial data integrity and accuracy during system implementation and migration.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, reporting efficiency and finance processes.

7.Team Leadership and Development

• Provide guidance, coaching and support to the Finance & Accounts team.
• Develop team capabilities and encourage continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Finance leaders across different entities to promote consistency in financial practices and reporting.
• Support the development of talent and succession within the Finance & Accounts function.

8.Cross-Entity and Regional Collaboration

• Work closely with Finance and business teams across Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and other relevant markets.
• Collaborate with different business units and stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial information and priorities.
• Be comfortable operating within a flexible and distributed working environment.
• Travel periodically where required for business, management meetings and group finance matters.

Requirements

Education and Professional Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, MICPA/CPA or equivalent is preferred.
• MIA registration is an added advantage.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in finance or business is an advantage.
• Tax qualification or certification, such as CTIM, is an advantage.

Experience and Technical Skills

• Strong experience in group consolidation and multi-entity financial reporting.
• Experience managing or overseeing financial reporting across multiple entities is highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of cash flow management, banking and treasury.
• Experience managing banking facilities, loans and financing arrangements.
• Good understanding of corporate tax, withholding tax and intercompany transactions.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Odoo or similar platforms, is an advantage.
• Strong financial analysis and financial planning capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Experience in M&A, investment appraisal, restructuring or company sale-preparation is an added advantage.

Language Skills

• Fluent in English.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency is highly preferred due to the regional nature of the role.
• Additional language capabilities are an advantage.
