Management Accountant ( Senior Manager/ Manager)

You'll be joining a well-established property development arm of a large, diversified conglomerate with a strong presence in township development, residential projects and mixed‑use assets. The organisation is known for its long-standing financial stability, structured corporate environment and commitment to delivering quality developments across Malaysia. As they continue to expand their portfolio, the team is looking to strengthen their management accounting function with an experienced finance professional.

Your new role

As the Senior Finance Manager/Finance Manager (Management Accounting), you will lead the full spectrum of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for the property development business. You will:
  • Drive the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with business targets.
  • Prepare, review and analyse monthly management reports, project performance, variance analysis and financial insights for senior leadership.
  • Work closely with project, commercial and operational teams to evaluate project feasibility, cost tracking, cashflow projections and profitability.
  • Enhance financial models, templates and dashboards, leveraging advanced Excel skills to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strengthen internal controls, standardise processes and support continuous improvement across finance operations.
  • Provide financial guidance to support business decisions, including scenario planning, trend analysis and performance evaluation.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents and internal stakeholders as needed to ensure compliance, governance and discipline in reporting.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in management accounting, FP&A or financial analysis, ideally within property development or related industries.
  • Strong command of Excel (formulas, modelling, and data analysis) with hands‑on ability to create financial models and automate templates.
  • Excellent analytical capability with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate numbers into meaningful insights.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cashflow analysis and project costing.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders.
