About the Role
Be the analytical engine behind strategic decisions at one of Malaysia's leading chemicals manufacturers. You'll own the financial insights and business intelligence that guide our MD and board on investments, market positioning and performance optimization across our 50+ year operation.
What You'll Do
- Own monthly financial and operational reporting to the MD and executive stakeholders, translating complex data into clear strategic insights that drive decision-making.
- Lead investment evaluation and business case development for new ventures, product lines and capital projects including ROI analysis and financial modelling.
- Deliver market intelligence on chemical commodities, raw materials and competitive landscapes by analysing pricing trends, tariff structure and supply chain shifts.
- Build and maintain performance dashboards and MIS tools that track KPIs, project progress and business metrics across the group.
- Conduct in-depth market studies on industries and sectors critical to our growth strategy, turning external research into actionable recommendations.
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentation decks for management meetings and board discussions.
What You Bring
- A bachelor's degree in finance related field.
- 3-5 years in financial analysis, investment analysis, FP&A, management reporting or business intelligence with strong finance fundamentals.
- Proven experience building business cases, evaluating investments or analysing project ROI.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret trade data, policy impacts and market dynamics.
- Good communication skills to present complex financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-directed work style with ability to manage competing priorities during peak reporting periods.
- Proficiency with financial modelling and data visualization tools.
