A leading retailer is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager to oversee the financial management and reporting for a group of companies. You will be at the heart of Group financial consolidation, providing critical insights to support leadership decisions and championing best practices in finance governance.
What you'll do:
As Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a central role in overseeing the financial management of multiple subsidiary companies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex consolidations, driving accurate reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for all subsidiary companies within the Group, ensuring monthly and annual reports are delivered accurately and on time.
- Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements across all entities under your remit.
- Monitor financial performance at both subsidiary and Group levels, providing detailed analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
- Review cash flow positions and working capital management for subsidiaries, supporting optimisation initiatives as well as banking matters.
- Coordinate statutory audits for all entities, facilitating effective communication between auditors, tax authorities, and internal teams.
- Guide and support finance teams within subsidiaries to promote standardisation of processes and strong governance throughout the Group.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement within finance operations, actively supporting transformation initiatives that drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ERP systems and financial analysis tools into daily operations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
What you bring:
You bring not only deep technical knowledge but also practical experience managing complex reporting cycles for large groups or multi-entity organisations. Your understanding of accounting standards ensures compliance at every stage while your hands-on approach enables you to lead budgeting exercises confidently.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or MIA is mandatory for this position.
- A minimum of 8-12 years experience in finance roles with significant exposure to Group reporting or consolidation activities within large organisations.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of current accounting standards as well as regulatory compliance requirements relevant to the retail sector.
- Exceptional analytical skills combined with high attention to detail; consistently delivering accurate results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal communication abilities enabling effective collaboration across business units at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining a dependable approach to problem-solving.
