Senior Full Stack Developer (12Month Contract)

Location: Subang Jaya, Malaysia
Type: Contract (12 months, strong extension potential)

We're partnering with a major global education provider undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. They are building a new technology capability hub in Malaysia, focused on modernising student systems, uplifting enterprise technology, and delivering nextgeneration digital experiences across multiple campuses.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a multiyear strategic program modernising the entire student management ecosystem.

About the Role

You will join the Custom Development team responsible for delivering cloudbased, enterprisegrade web applications. You'll work across the full SDLC, planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of digital solutions.

This role focuses on building and maintaining applications that will underpin the new student management environment, including portals, workflows, user interfaces, and backend services.

You'll collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other technical teams in an Agile delivery model, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to longterm business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead endtoend development of full stack web applications across frontend and backend systems.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and design highquality digital solutions.
  • Develop cloudbased applications within a modern PaaS environment.
  • Integrate applications with REST/JSON APIs, middleware, and enterprise services.
  • Maintain code quality through reviews, branching strategies, test automation, and secure coding practices.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging cloud technologies.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong commercial experience in JavaScript and Java development (50/50 split).
  • Handson experience with Node.js or Spring Boot for backend development.
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, and modern frontend patterns.
  • Experience integrating with APIs and middleware services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automation tools (Maven, Webpack, npm), and testing practices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred, or similar experience with others).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders.

Why This Project Is Exciting

You'll be part of a major capability uplift, supporting:

  • A new student management ecosystem overhaul
  • New web portals and digital experiences
  • Multicampus modernisation across the region
  • Cuttingedge cloud application development
  • A greenfield environment with room to shape standards and architecture

This is a rare opportunity to influence the direction of a major digital rebuild from the ground up.
