Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer – AI Solutions

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Work Mode: Onsite

Employment Type: Contract

About the Role

Join Oxydata Software as a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and deliver AI-powered solutions from end to end. You will work in an AI-first engineering environment, leveraging advanced AI coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development while upholding high standards for code quality, security, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver applications covering data integration, backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.

Build AI-powered features and integrate AI models or services into applications.

Utilize AI coding tools and coordinate AI agents across multi-step development activities, ensuring appropriate human oversight.

Create and maintain reusable project templates, agent instructions, rules files, and skills libraries.

Review, understand, and validate AI-generated code, taking responsibility for the final deliverable.

Implement automated tests and evaluations to verify application behavior and AI outputs.

Deliver secure, observable, and maintainable applications through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Apply UI/UX principles to develop clear, usable interfaces.

Communicate progress, blockers, and scope risks promptly.

Contribute to code reviews, resolve technical debt, and improve shared engineering practices.

Evaluate emerging AI tools and techniques and share practical improvements with the team.

Must-have Requirements

At least five years of software engineering experience.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, AI, or a related discipline.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Hands-on delivery experience across backend services, data integration, and frontend applications.

Practical coding experience in both Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications or features, including integrating AI models or services and validating their outputs.

Practical experience using AI coding tools and agentic development workflows, including prompt and context engineering and human review of AI-generated code. Tools may include Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, security, and observability, including evaluations appropriate to AI functionality.

Ability to independently take requirements through implementation and deployment, explain technical decisions, and communicate delivery risks clearly.

Nice-to-have Requirements

Experience creating reusable agent instructions, rules files, project scaffolding, or skills libraries.

Experience selecting AI tools and models based on development needs, complexity, and security requirements.

Applying UI/UX best practices to user-facing applications.

Contributing to peer reviews, shared learning, and continuous engineering improvement.
