Description
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and financial statement preparation.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, review/approve reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper expense coding and intercompany transaction monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS and company policies, support internal/external audits, maintain internal controls, and assist with tax and regulatory reporting.
- Identify and implement process enhancements, support ERP/system improvements, and develop/update accounting procedure documentation.
- Perform variance analysis, provide financial insights to management, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support cycle counts, mid-year counts, and yearend physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Finance Manager and provide support for monthend closing and audit-related activities.
Profile
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- 2 to 4 years experience in cost analysis and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
