This role will be based in Sedenak, Johor, Malaysia

We Are Looking For

As the Senior HR Manager, you will lead the HR function for PDG in Malaysia and partner with business stakeholders to drive HR initiatives that support the business in achieving business goals. Leading a team, you will be responsible for end-to-end HR as well and play a key role in shaping the HR function for PDG in Malaysia. You should have a deep understanding of the various HR functions, have proven success in HR business partnering and good interpersonal skills to build rapport with the business stakeholders and employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Responsible for day-to-day HR operations pertaining to the Employee Life Cycle, which include but are not limited to recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee engagement and offboarding
  • Support current and future business needs through the attraction, development, engagement and retention of human capital
  • Listen and understand employees needs and bridge management and employee relations
  • Maintain compliance to local employment laws and regulations
  • Recommend market best practices, review policies and procedures to be in compliance as well as to attract talents
  • Partner with the country managers to understand and execute the countrys talent strategy and recruit talents to meet business needs
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies to effectively supports business to achieve business goals
  • Drive and execute key HR initiatives, obtain buy-in from the countries and key stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement to increase HR operational effectiveness
  • Support ad hoc projects

Qualities You Should Have

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum 12 years of work experiences in HR and prior experience in a managerial capacity
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysia labor law
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work within a start-up environment with high level of adaptability
  • Competency in building and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
