Senior Internal Auditor

Join Olympus Corporation as a Senior Auditor, based in Malaysia, within our Global Internal Audit function supporting operations across APAC and China.

This role has been created as part of a broader transformation, offering the opportunity to work across regions and play a key role in J-SOX audits, risk assessment, and internal control improvement. You'll gain exposure to diverse business processes while contributing to strengthening governance, compliance, and operational effectiveness across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute J-SOX, financial, operational, and compliance audits across APAC and China
• Support risk assessments, identifying control gaps and improvement opportunities
• Deliver risk-based audit engagements, evaluating internal control effectiveness
• Prepare high-quality audit documentation, findings, and recommendations
• Partner with stakeholders across functions to drive improvements and best practices
• Analyse business processes to provide practical, value-adding insights

What we are looking for:

You are a detail-oriented and analytical audit professional with a strong understanding of risk and controls, with:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 3+ years experience in internal audit, Big 4, or SOX-focused environments
• Knowledge of IFRS, COSO framework, and risk management principles
• Experience in J-SOX audits (highly regarded)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIA) in progress preferred
• Fluency in English (Chinese highly preferred; Korean a plus)
