JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior IT Executive leads the technology strategy for a supermarket organisation, ensuring reliable, secure, and innovative systems that support store operations, supply chain efficiency, merchandising, and customer experience. This role partners with executive leadership to enable growth, improve margins, and deliver seamless in-store and digital shopping experiences through effective use of technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with grocery retail operations and business goals.
2. Support pricing, promotions, merchandising, and category management systems.
3. Technology and Operations: Oversee IT infrastructure, applications, systems, scales, handheld devices, store networks, and back-office systems.
4. Ensure high availability and performance of store systems to minimise downtime and sales impact.
5. Cybersecurity: Develop and enforce cybersecurity strategy, policies, and controls.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and data privacy requirements.
7. Lead to manage disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response plans.
8. Financial & Vendor Management: Develop and manage the IT budget and optimise costs.
9. Negotiate contracts with technology providers and systems integrators.
10. People & Culture: Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATION

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
2. Experience: At least 5 years of progressive IT leadership experience.
3. Proven experience leading enterprise-scale IT organisations and budgets.
4. Fluent in Mandarin or Tamil.
