POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior - IT Executive will provide assistance in planning, coordinating, maintaining, and implementing necessary changes to enhance and upgrade the Server & Cloud Solution. Provide operational and technical support to the users of business applications to ensure that the business benefits of applications continue to be achieved throughout their lifetime and maintain the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and junior staff
- Automate processes for issue prevention, detection, and resolution
- Develop deployment scripts and system configuration setups
- Conduct testing, including hardware qualification and virtualisation
- Assist in cloud solution development, testing, and gap analysis
- Document procedures for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose and escalate complex issues; recommend preventive solutions
- Monitor and report on system performance, availability, and security
- Participate in planned maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery drills
- Drive improvements in infrastructure through automation and virtualisation
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or professional certification in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 35 years of experience in Information Technology
Technical Skills
- Windows & Linux server operations
- Backup solutions: Veeam, CloudAlly
- Microsoft Office 365 administration
- Sophos security operations (XDR/EDR, MDR)
- Azure Cloud (server, networking, virtualization)
- NAS & SAN storage systems
- Microsoft technologies: Hyper-V, Active Directory, Exchange, ADFS, SQL, IIS, Directory Sync
- Network policy, print management, virtual machine management
- Intermediate networking and security knowledge
- Experience with support ticketing systems
