Job Description

WORKING LOCATION & WORKING HOUR: -

  • The Ascent @ Paradigm Mall (Petaling Jaya, Selangor)
  • Monday to Friday (regular working hours with a flexible schedule)

JOB OVERVIEW: -

The Senior IT Manager owns the reliability, security, and scalability of the IT environment. Youll lead a 20+ person team across infrastructure, networks, endpoints, support, and service delivery, steering strategy while staying close to execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES: -

IT Leadership & Operations:

  • Direct and oversee daily IT operations, infrastructure, and systems administration.
  • Lead a diverse IT team including system administrators, network engineers, and support specialists.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Own IT service management (incident, request, problem, change), define SLAs/OLAs, and publish monthly performance reports.
  • Drive standardization and automation.
  • Maintain asset lifecycle (endpoints, network, SaaS), capacity plans, and DR runbooks; execute regular DR tests to agreed RTO/RPO

Strategic Planning & Alignment:

  • Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify and implement technology-driven opportunities for business growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee IT project delivery, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and within budget.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management:

  • Spearhead cybersecurity initiatives to protect company data, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Adopt Zero Trust principles, EDR, vulnerability management SLAs, and phishing/resilience programs.
  • Maintain a live risk register; prepare for and lead audits

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to optimize value and efficiency.
  • Drive cost-effective technology investments and ensure return on investment (ROI).
  • Run RFPs and QBRs, optimize contracts and licenses, and reduce shelfware; keep spend within 5% variance to plan
  • Align CapEx/OpEx and headcount plans to roadmap priorities, track benefits realization

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Mentor and develop IT staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Ensure continuous learning and upskilling of the IT team in line with emerging technologies.
  • Set clear goals and growth paths; establish on-call/incident rotations and run post-incident reviews with learning actions.
  • Champion inclusion, psychological safety, and servant leadership; hire and onboard against competency rubrics

REQUIREMENTS: -

  • 10+ years in IT with 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams, ideally in fast-growing or multi-site environments.
  • Proven ownership of identity, endpoint, network, collaboration, and ITSM stacks; hands-on depth welcomed.
  • Track record delivering major projects/initiatives.
  • Strong ITIL/ITSM and project/program skills.
  • Working knowledge of security and privacy frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR/PDPA).
  • Clear, executive-level communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proficient in Mandarin (spoken & written) .
  • 30% Travelling.
