Senior Java Spring Boot Developer
Industry: Banking / Financial Services
Location: Kuala Lumpur

Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Senior Java Spring Boot Developers to join a technology team supporting applications within the Banking / Financial Services industry
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, backend development and microservices, with experience working on enterprise-level applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
* Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
* Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Perform coding, unit testing, debugging and production support.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
* Work closely with business analysts, QA teams and other technical teams.
* Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities.
* Ensure application performance, scalability, security and reliability.
* Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
* Support deployment and CI/CD processes where required.
Requirements
* 8–10 years of experience in Java development.
* Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
* Good experience in Microservices architecture
* Strong experience developing RESTful APIs
* Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
* Good understanding of software development and SDLC.
* Experience with Git, Maven and Postman is an advantage.
* Experience with CI/CD, Docker or cloud technologies is an advantage.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Good to Have
* Experience in the Banking / Financial Services industry.
* Experience with Cards / Credit Cards / Debit Cards.
* Experience with Payment / Transaction systems
* Exposure to enterprise-scale banking applications.
