Senior Java Developer

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to manage the full software development life cycle, from planning and prioritisation through to testing and release.

Senior Java Developer responsibilities include gathering system and user requirements, building Java modules and testing features before release. If you have hands-on experience developing software with agile methodologies and are ready to lead our junior developers, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining functional, secure and high-quality applications.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and analyse user requirements.

• Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle.

• Develop and maintain Spring Boot-based applications.

• Write clean, well-designed, efficient code.

• Review, test and debug team members code.

• Design database architecture.

• Coordinate and schedule product releases with internal teams.

• Document development phases.

• Ensure our applications are secure and up-to-date.

• Provide ongoing application support and maintenance.

Requirements and skills:

• Proven work experience as a Senior Java Developer or in a similar role.

• Strong experience designing, building and testing Java applications.

• In-depth knowledge of Java frameworks, such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

• Experienced with microservice architecture.

• Good time management skills.

• Good problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant field
