Whats The Role

As a Senior Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting analyses of Shell MDS Gas-to-Liquid productsincluding oil, wax, and specialty itemsin alignment with our laboratorys ISO 17025-certified quality management system. Youll work closely with teams across Production, Technology, Product Innovation, and Marketing to help deliver high-quality products that create value for both local and global customers. Your role will be integral to the synergy between product innovation and quality assurance, ensuring excellence from development through to market delivery.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Perform product analyses and internal equipment calibrations in compliance with ISO 17025, as well as integrated management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Ensure optimal availability and functionality of laboratory equipment to prevent analysis downtime.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory to drive operational excellence and deliver value to both the team and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and data to support traceability and uphold audit trail integrity

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in chemistry, Science, or a related discipline. Candidates from other fields may be considered based on relevant experience. Alternatively, a diploma with hands-on laboratory experience is also acceptable.
  • Proven experience in laboratory operations, including sample handling and analysis.
  • Active involvement in laboratory projects or improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and a solid understanding of ISO 17025 requirements for testing and calibration laboratory competence.
