Responsibilities
- Perform business requirements gathering, system impact analysis, technical modelling of core system according to business analysis.
- Performing system enhancement and development using AS400/RPG/COBOL language
- Performing system testing; from test planning & resolve defects found
- Required to manage software configuration item
- Support the legacy system application, including problem investigation and resolve issues independently.
- Comply with standards and quality procedures
- Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
- Delivers assigned projects on time and within budget including the delivery of high-quality deliverables that meet the client expectations
- Other related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- At least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other IT related discipline
- At least 5 years of related experience with AS400 or Smart400; preferably with BFSI software experience
- Strong hands-on technical skills in AS400/ COBOL 400 / RPG / CLP coding language
- Experience with Python or Java is an added advantage
- Good command in English (speaking, writing, reading)
- Analytical & good problem-solving skills
- Independent, proactive, able to multi-tasks effectively and self-motivated
- Able to work in fast-paced environment
