about the job

• Contract Management: Draft and review a broad spectrum of legal documents, including commercial contracts, tenancy agreements, NDAs, and service agreements.

• Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Lead efforts in PDPA (Data Protection), anti-corruption, and code of conduct compliance to ensure organizational integrity.

• Strategic Advisory: Provide expert counsel to stakeholders on corporate, employment, and data privacy matters, including emerging business models like SaaS, Cloud, and AI.

• Enforcement & Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with internal teams to manage legal risks and navigate regulatory enforcement with bodies such as Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).

• Operational Excellence: Manage the contract repository, facilitate corporate due diligence, and serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external solicitors.

about the requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution

• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya or equivalent in-house counsel experience

• Demonstrated experience across corporate law, commercial litigation, and transactional matters including contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution
