JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced, self-sufficient, and detailed oriented Senior Legal Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal acumen, drafting skills and a proven ability to manage legal matters. You will be expected to provide high quality legal support across a broad range of corporate and operational matters and play a key role in ensuring compliance and protecting the companys legal interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear, concise legal opinions and reports.
- Draft, review and revise a variety of legal documents.
- Manage and coordinate legal matters, including corporate, commercial, compliance and dispute-related issues.
- Liaise professionally with external counsel, clients, regulators and stakeholders.
- Assist with case preparation, including managing litigation files and attending court proceedings as needed.
- Monitor and advise on changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintain and update internal legal records, precedents and contract templates.
- Provide timely legal input and support to various departments within the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Law or equivalent.
- Solid background in corporate law, including commercial drafting, regulatory compliance and contract negotiations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters without needing close supervision.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage pressure and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- A team player with a mature, proactive and solution-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess minimum 4 years of experience as a legal practitioner in law firm or in-house counsel
- Experience in corporate / commercial disputes.
- Familiarity with the engineering sector is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred as you will be required to review legal documents written in Mandarin to English and vice versa.
