Summary

Report to Commodity Management Director. The roles and responsibilities of this position will encompass of leading the Build to print commodities for Celestica Advance Technology and Computing Cloud Solution segment primarily focus on supplier quality performance, supplier qualification management, localization and strategic source control management. Accountable and responsible to drive and meeting company priorities objectives and applied through company key values.

Detailed Description

  • Responsible for global commodity engineering related BTP-build to print parts not limited to such as plastic injection, metal, complex machining, Thermal Technology Liquid cooling, Power Supply, PCB, Connector, Cable Harness, Hardware, Fluidic and Automation Technology.
  • Lead a team to ensure compliance, develop skills and knowledge
  • Responsible to perform supplier qualification and quality system audit in various environment standard e.g. ISO9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO14001 etc
  • Responsible for supplier quality performance and continuous improvements
  • Responsible for the localization activity and supplier FAI part qualification
  • Support commodity RFQ, cost reduction and MVP activities
  • Evaluate and analyse quality data statistically pertaining to supplier process to maintain supplier quality and determine opportunity for improvement. DPPM and DMAIC apply
  • Responsible to solve internal and external quality issue and reporting in timely manner
  • Responsible to drive supplier performance management to meet goal
  • Responsible to lead the project management team to meet the project timeline and cost target
  • Ensure achieve KPI and meet other subjects related to the Celestica companywide goal
  • Any other related to department requirement

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence and work cross-functionally across the organization to achieve objectives
  • Ability to effectively interface with international sites and suppliers to establish strong working relationships
  • Good business Acumen with experience developing of total quality management
  • Strong knowledge or experience of ISO9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, ISO14001, AS9100, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, IPC standard and GDT Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance. Experience with PPAP, AS9100 FAIR activity is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex Mechanical Build to Print products, Hyperscaler Platform system act as subject matter expert
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills, experience with supplier cost reduction, development and strategic sourcing
  • Track record of supplier quality improvement, and a working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • 25% Travel is required

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Business or Bachelors of Science or higher preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality management and SCM discipline preferred or equivalent of combination of experience

Physical Demands

  • Incumbent will perform the duties of this position in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • May require occasional travel.
