Ansell is looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Communications to join our team in Cyberjaya, Malaysia!

In this position, you will be responsible for planning, governing, and delivering clear, consistent, and well-judged communications across sensitive and business-critical situations in the Malaysia market. The role leads the development of local-market messaging, manages structured multi-stakeholder communications, and partners closely with senior leaders, Operations, HR, Legal, and external advisors to ensure communications are accurate, well-sequenced, compliant, and appropriately controlled. The role requires strong crisis and issues-management expertise, deep local market knowledge, and sound judgment on confidentiality, timing, audience, and reputational risk.

What your role will be

  • Own and govern communications materials and messaging to ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all local stakeholder channels, including in fast-moving or high-sensitivity situations.
  • Develop and support employee-facing communications that are clear, consistent, timely, and aligned with business priorities, including communications linked to organizational change, sensitive employee matters, and local leadership updates.
  • Act as a trusted communications advisor across Operations, HR, Legal, and senior leadership, helping shape messaging and sequencing for complex or confidential matters.
  • Lead the development and delivery of stakeholder-facing communications materials (briefings, toolkits, FAQs, written notices) tailored to different audiences and risk levels.
  • Lead coordination of announcement logistics and execution across multiple stakeholder groups, ensuring consistent messaging and appropriate timing.
  • Own local media and government relations coordination, including statement drafting, spokesperson support, and liaison with external PR/communications agencies.
  • Act as a strategic partner across Malaysia Operations, HR, Legal, and global Corporate Communications, ensuring messaging is aligned, compliant, and delivered with sound judgment on timing and audience.

What will you bring to Ansell

  • University Degree
  • Post-graduate qualification or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • 6+ years in corporate communications, ideally in a global or matrixed organization, with strong experience in crisis or issues communications
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-layered communications across Manufacturing, HR, Legal, and senior leadership stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience supporting sensitive or high-stakes employee and public communications under time pressure
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders and executives, translating complex or sensitive matters into clear, appropriate messaging for different audiences
  • Proven ability to coordinate communications across multiple internal and external stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of the local regulatory, media, and government relations landscape
  • Language capability: Excellent written and spoken English is required. Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia is highly desirable, particularly for employee, government, media, and local stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent written and editorial skills, able to write clearly and appropriately across employee, government, media, and public audiences
  • Strong crisis communications instincts — able to develop holding statements, Q&A, and response protocols quickly and accurately
  • Solid judgment on what to communicate, when, to whom, and through which channel, including operating on a strictly confidential or need-to-know basis when required
  • Practical experience coordinating with external PR/communications agencies
  • Strong planning and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and shifting timelines
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, sensitive, or fast-changing environments
  • High attention to detail, particularly for reputationally sensitive communications
  • Calm, confident, and credible in front of senior stakeholders and external parties, including under pressure
  • Trustworthy and discreet, with a demonstrated track record of handling confidential information appropriately
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented — anticipates issues and reputational risk before they escalate
  • Collaborative and diplomatic, able to influence without authority across HR, Legal, and other functions
  • Comfortable balancing strategic sensitivity with hands-on, on-the-ground execution
