Job Description

Oversee and ensure accurate financial postings for respective business unit, including the review and approval of all accounting entries.

Oversee revenue recognition adjustments, particularly at year-end, and manage related liabilities (right of return and refunds).

Assess CSO margins, ullage, and market hygiene for both specific clients and general provisions.

Oversee and manage all leases, including tenancy renewals, terminations, and adjustments, and oversee and lead the reviews of RE-FX lease postings and adjustments.

Oversee and drive business unit CIF reconciliations and eliminate inter-division sales

Prepare and review budget flash reports, segment results, and cash flow statements across BU

Review cost accruals, including insurance and audit fees, and bonus calculations for each business unit.

Be the lead in monitoring accuracy in balance sheet reconciliations and hard close reporting packages.

Lead statutory audit walkthroughs and prepare management accounts.

Generate and review commentary for BU Flash reports and Board slides for the Listed Group, and act as the point of contact for queries.

Oversee all Bursa reporting including consolidated segment results, assets, liabilities and Bursa commentaries for review

Address audit queries and prepare necessary documentation and workings.

Oversee the entire adjustments and reviews related to new M&A entities, ensuring integration into financial systems.

Oversee profit center and cost center creation and updates in PRISM.

Ensure data integrity and consistency in reporting systems across the finance teams.

Oversee and lead the preparation of Board presentations including shareholders reporting

Review preparation of full set of accounts (3 Group accounts and 9 entity level) including disclosures, workings and clearing auditors comments.

Lead the preparation of stock holding reports

Drive system improvements and oversee all finance projects transformations

Manage a team and drive the performance of the team in delivering to its stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

Degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline.

Minimum six to eight years experience in a similar role preferably in accounting and auditing with with a combination of in-house experience with a multinational enterprise and relevant Big 4 experience.

Demonstrate sound knowledge in finance/accounting practices and processes, understanding of the business and industry etc.

Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices

Proven experience operating in an SAP accounting environment is an advantage

Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills, including statistical computations

Demonstrate sound knowledge and interest in technology and systems to support internal control effectiveness and efficiency

Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
