A multinational conglomerate is seeking a Senior Manager, Group Corporate Assurance (Internal Audit) to join their team in Petaling Jaya. What you'll do:


As Senior Manager, Group Corporate Assurance (Internal Audit), you will be entrusted with overseeing the corporate assurance function across assigned divisions and regions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve strategic planning of assurance activities, guiding your team through complex reviews, and ensuring consistent focus on material risk areas. You will be instrumental in developing robust frameworks that enhance operational efficiency while fostering a culture of integrity. By collaborating closely with senior management and stakeholders both internally and externally, you will ensure that audit findings translate into actionable improvements. * Oversee the development and implementation of the annual corporate assurance plan and budgets for assigned divisions, ensuring alignment with formulated review strategies based on business risks.
* Manage the execution of the annual corporate assurance plan for your area of responsibility, ensuring achievement of key performance indicators set by regional leadership.
* Develop and coordinate strategies and work plans that drive continuous improvement in control environments across multiple business units.
* Formulate objectives and strategies for special advisory or investigative reviews, managing their execution with discretion and professionalism.
* Uphold core organisational values by maintaining integrity and objectivity within the team during all assurance activities.
* Ensure high-quality standards in reporting audit findings, issues, and recommendations that contribute to operational improvements throughout the group.
* Profile, follow up on, and close out identified issues efficiently to support effective risk management.
* Prepare ad-hoc and periodic reports detailing achievements against the annual plan, key audit findings, and recommendations for further profiling to senior management.
* Assist regional leadership in managing human capital requirements including performance evaluation, developmental needs assessment, succession planning, and collaboration on departmental enhancement programmes.
* Maintain effective relationships with audit clients, external auditors, and other stakeholders to clarify business issues and provide value-added consultancy.

* Professional qualification in a relevant field such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent is highly desirable for this senior role.
* At least 12 to 15 years experience in corporate assurance or related functions within large organisations is required.
* Demonstrated track record of holding management or senior management roles for at least 6 to 10 years with substantive leadership responsibilities.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English & Mandarin is essential for effective communication across diverse teams.
* Proven ability to communicate clearly and negotiate successfully with senior stakeholders at all levels within an organisation.
* Experience in developing review strategies aligned with business objectives and risk profiles is highly valued.
* Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach towards team development and stakeholder engagement are crucial for success.
* Commitment to continuous professional development including keeping abreast of global best practices in auditing standards is expected.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive investigations or advisory reviews.
