Job Summary:
- Lead and oversee the IFRS17 financial reporting function, ensuring compliance with regulatory and Group standards. Responsible for strategic direction, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-quality financial insights and reporting under IFRS17
Responsibilities:
1. IFRS17 Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Oversee the preparation and review of IFRS17-compliant financial reports, including monthly, mid-year, and year-end statements.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IFRS17 standards and internal policies.
- Present key financial insights and performance indicators to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
2. Governance, Controls & Methodology
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks for IFRS17 reporting.
- Ensure methodologies are up-to-date and aligned with Group standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead responses to internal and external audit queries, ensuring transparency and compliance.
3. Process Optimization & System Enhancement
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, systems, and tools.
- Collaborate with IT, Actuarial, and Finance teams to enhance data quality, automation, and reporting efficiency.
- Ensure SOPs are documented and maintained for all critical processes.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as the key liaison with Group Office, Actuarial, Risk, Product, and external consultants.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment across departments on IFRS17-related matters.
5. Team Development & Talent Management
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Identify training needs and support professional development within the IFRS17 team.
6. Ad-hoc Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead or support strategic projects involving IFRS17 expertise, including system upgrades, financial restructuring, and regulatory changes.
Requirements:
1. Education
- Candidate with degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent University degree with good progress of actuarial professional papers.
2. Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the life insurance industry, with at least 3 years in IFRS17 reporting and 3 years in leadership role.
3. Skills
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Deep understanding of IFRS17 standards and their practical application.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Prophet, and financial reporting systems.
